St Werburgh Medical Practice
St Werburgh Medical Practice has a long and proud tradition of providing healthcare to the Hoo Peninsula. Although the surgery has been through some difficult times in recent years, the dynamic new GP Partners have brought their youthful energy, passion, and innovation to the practice, which has been heralded as a beacon of inspiration by both commissioners and regulators alike.
The Practice offers access to experienced and dedicated skill mix of professionals encompassing GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Physician Associates, Clinical Pharmacists, Paramedic Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Health Care Associates, Physiotherapists and Social Prescribers. Holistic, Evidence-based care and services are provided at the main site at Bells Lane (Hoo St Werburgh) with further access and services being delivered at its branch surgery at Balmoral Gardens (Gillingham) in line with the nationally approved and agreed General Medical Services (GMS) contract.
The Practice leadership team has forged strong links with the CCGs and Health Care Partnerships and has helped shape system-wide responses to the Pandemic, national vaccination campaign and post-covid recovery. These connections have also translated in to bringing in additional resources, skills, and expertise into the practice for the benefits of its patients' population and the wider community.
With its significant experience and understanding in commissioning, regulation, and innovation/change management, St Werburgh Medical Practice will lend its expertise and passion to the Primary Care Network, to help achieve the collective ambition, to meet the local health care needs of the patient population.
